Author Guidelines
Important: Before submitting an article, please make sure you read and follow these guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth submission that complies with our journal standards.
General Requirements
- Submitted articles must be the result of original research and have not been published elsewhere.
- Articles should be relevant to the focus and scope of the Islamic Education Journal (see Focus and Scope section).
- Accepted articles will undergo a peer review and editing process by the journal editors.
- Articles should be submitted in Indonesian or English.
Manuscript Format
- Article Length: Articles should be between 4000 to 8000 words in length (including abstract, references, tables, and figures).
- Font and Spacing: 1) Use Palatino Linotype font size 12 pt. 2) Spacing of 1.5 for the entire manuscript. 3) Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
- Article Structure: The article should follow the following structure:
- Title: The title of the article should be clear and appropriately reflect the content of the article.
- Abstract: Maximum 250 words. The abstract should contain objectives, methodology, findings, and conclusions.
- Keywords: Maximum 5 keywords relevant to the article.
- Introduction: This section includes the background, research objectives, and the problem under study.
- Literature Review: Presents the theory or previous research relevant to the research topic.
- Methodology: Description of the research approach, research design, instruments, and data analysis.
- Results and Discussion: Presents the research findings and their in-depth analysis.
- Conclusions and Suggestions: A summary of key findings, suggestions for further development, or practical applications.
- Bibliography: Follows the latest edition of APA (American Psychological Association) writing style.
Article Submission
- All articles must be submitted through the OJS (Open Journal Systems) system. For the first article submission, please first register as an author in OJS.
- After registering, log in to the OJS system, select “New Submission” and upload your article according to the instructions.
- Make sure your article has been checked with a plagiarism detection tool and is free of plagiarism.
Writing Style
- Use an academic writing style that is clear, objective, and easy to understand.
- Avoid using informal or ambiguous language.
- In-text citations should follow the latest edition of APA (American Psychological Association) style: 1) Direct quotation: (Author Name, Year, Page), 2) Indirect citation: (Author Name, Year)
- Bibliography should follow APA format with emphasis on scholarly journals, books, and reliable sources.
Use of Tables and Figures
- All tables and figures should be clear, legible, and relevant to the text.
- Tables and figures should be numbered and titled (e.g. Table 1. Demographic Data of Respondents).
- Tables and figures are placed after relevant references in the text.
- Make sure you have copyright or permission to use images that are not your own.
Review Process
- Each submitted article will go through a peer review process by competent peer partners in the field.
- Authors will receive feedback from reviewers and be asked to make revisions if necessary.
- Articles accepted for publication will be notified by email, along with final instructions for improvement or refinement.
Writing Ethics
- Authors take full responsibility for the originality of their work. Plagiarism in any form will be rejected and may result in withdrawal of submission.
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- All data used in the article must be legitimate and accountable.
Copyright and License
- Articles accepted and published in this journal will be under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, which allows articles to be used, distributed, and copied with appropriate attribution.
- Authors will retain copyright to their work, but grant the journal the right to publish it openly.
